Project and structured finance
At its simplest structured finance involves the use of a single entity; at its most complex it may involve joint venture or partnership arrangements with an array of sophisticated debt and other financial instruments. KPMG's Corporate Finance practice provides the financing advisory and arrangement services previously confined to investment and clearing banks. These can include:
- advising and arranging domestic and cross-border leases of assets covering plant and machinery, real estate and all forms of transportation;
- advise in lease-versus-buy techniques to help clients make and implement some of the most appropriate financing choices for capital equipment;
- forming and advising private bidding teams for project finance initiatives - from very large to modest schemes;
- advising the public sector on the competitive tendering process for private finance initiatives.
With all these services, KPMG's Corporate Finance practice combines quality independent structuring and tax advice with the ability to obtain some of the best financing deals available through its extensive range of contacts with domestic and international banks and equity investors.
